For best output you want it just about 200 degrees, more and it saps power.

I agree you must be use to driving 30 year old cars, heat is not an issue with newer cars they are designed to run hotter.

It was 105, I had the A/C driving on the street and it never got over 205/210

I hit 210 yesterday when I was racing on the toll road, but that's understandable. Normally, the temp gauge stays below 200. The best $4 you will ever spend is on a 180 degree thermostat.

Mine was constantly at 210 an sometimes 240 on 110+ days I think I have a small coolant leak somewhere but Im having trouble finding it. I constantly check the coolant level and I put in a 180/fan switch mod and a new cap but it still runs at 190-200 I dont get it I have fresh hoses and a new radiator but it still seems to fall apart in the heat its driving me nuts. Ive seen other srt's stay tucked right at 195 or 180 all day long but mine fluctuates alot.

mine has been running about 220 during the day and 200 at night, not too worried about it at this point

The SRT-4 runs hotter then my GSX.

SRT-4: 200 to 210 with AC on.
GSX: 196-200. Sometimes it will hit 203 when sitting in traffic.

It's this crazy heat, my car normally stays under 200 but these last few days mine has been just under 210 with the A/C at full blast, and it actually stays cooler with the A/C on than off.

That will only work if you do mostly highway driving anyways or unless you do the fan mod with it. I did both and anytime my car gets past half way I flip the switch and it's cool again.

Try siting in traffic in the heat of the day with a 180 t-stat.... Your car will be on fire... Thats why I switched back to the stock t-stat, unless your moving the 180 sucks... It'll go up in down all day in the heat, specially if its stop and go.... Plus you get better gas mileage with the stock t-stat... Yeah, but suck me sideways it was hot as a mug today.. Its like monsoon weather out there...

Ok.... Mr. Thermie is designed to open at 195 degrees, your going 15 degrees above this?!!!!! Lets say walk outside and its 70 degrees in the morning, by afternoon its 85.. This differential in temp is negligible!

What next for a thread? "How large was your genital herpes outbreak today?"
