Default Help me out here...

My car randomly has the symptoms of a bad TPS....the weird idle, revving to 3K or more on it's own, rough idle, "cruise control" when I let off the gas.

Problem is, I have a BRAND NEW TPS in there. AND the re-wire is done.

On top of that, it randomly decides to idle at 10-11 AFR's....Cruises at 12 AFR's...And I have NO tuning device what-so-ever. No SAFC, Mapclamp...nothing.

I have a brand new upstream O2 to combat this issue....but it didn't help.

For both problems, there is no certain conditions to provoke them. They are both random and intermittent...although the TPS symptoms are getting more frequent everyday...

Soooooo....any ideas?

Intake manifold gasket................i had the same tps issue for awhile. Replaced my wiring, resealed my Throttle body/spacer and turns out it was the intake manifold gasket.

Could also try cleaning your IAC sensor on your TB

Good luck

Check the t/b and intake mani for vac leaks. I had the same problem with the first ported t/b that I installed. It had a leak in the throttle plate because the fucker made it wrong.

Had an issue with mine too. Not leaking problem but could have caused some damage to my car. Ended up tossing it and going with a lorenzo. No problems since
