Yeah, no shocked that this was rolled on by cops... it was posted on not 1 but 2 forums and I'm sure on either forum there were cops watching. This isn't the first time we've had cops roll on our meets. You guys are all cool and nobody got rolled so consider it a good night.
I'm also sure cali cops will make profiles but put in some far off location as their city..this is all old news. What's funny is somebody was being robbed while all those cops were "waiting" for a race to go down. Nice way to allocate funds.
If I was a cop I would scan regional forums for meet ups and roll by on my shift. Posting shit up on a public forum begs for that, and it makes their job that much easier.
With all the deaths due to street racing, I dont see a problem with it.
I've done it, and I got a Neg 2. Sold the car and drive 5 under now. You have to pay to play and anything they can do to stop it is just as fair.
cops kill more innocent bystanders while performing high speed chases than street racing kills (both innocent and themselves combined). drunk driving is 100x more deadly than street racing. more people every year die from accidents related to poor road maintainence than due to street racing.
we used to welcome the police presence at our meets; it's nice to have them patrol the lot while we patron the local establishments as it helps ward off hate-crimes against our cars.
