I dont know if im just really really late on this or what but I was searching to find a 1/4 drag strip near san diego and stumbled upon this Mopar Drag City It looks fricken sweet

I hear it is going to be top notch. It's been going on forever. The last update I saw was in December, and they were back at it. Hope it gets done, and the major events will follow.

Look at the date of these threads.

Drag City update:

Drag-City (so-cal's new drag strip)


Every 6 months or so they update the website to say "Racing begins Spring XX"(What ever year it is)

I hope like hell it happens because it is about 15 miles away.

The last I heard was the original builders lost fundding and that slowed things down. I really hope the new people can pull it off because we need a good (real) drage track out here and I am like 5 Miles away.

Andy & Ron Marocco the original two guys who started it are still in charge as far as I know.

I've been waiting for that track to open for like 2.5 yrs! at this rate it's never going to open!
