Default Have any plans this Sunday, July 13, 2008? Need your help.

Guys and gals,

Busy this Sunday? A friend’s 4 year old daughter has been diagnosed with leukemia and there is a donor drive this Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. No needles are involved. A swab of your mouth is what is done to check if you're a match. I was thinking the SRT community can show their support and caravan to this drive. You do not need to participate in the check but you can caravan with us to show support. It's in Highland Park, about a five minute drive from my house. Here is some info...

I'm doing this in honor of my mom who fell victim to cancer. One way or another we've all been struck by this disease. Friend, family member, co-workers.. Here's your chance to help beat it.

Thanks Joe.

Come on locals, the procedure itself takes less than two minutes. Those of us who have kids look forward to seeing our young ones the next day. The parents of this child may not get to have this privilege if a donor is not found.

If you're not a match for this young girl, this puts you in a database where you may be able to save someone else's life.
