dtec - 4 maps
safc - 2maps

dtec - 18adjustable points in 100% column
safc - 12 total, but about 10 total for WOT (after you set 2 points for idle/cruising

dtec - can datalog if setup properly, and record afr by rpms
safc - cant

dtec - color, and can remove the gameboy w/o losing the setings
safc - black/white (the black case w/ the white leds do look awesome tho), and cant remove

dtec - cheap wiring harness
safc - better quality

dtec - known for "bad brains" and would need to be sent to turboxs to get fixed
safc - not the case

dtec - more "closed loop" points that you can tune (18x3, and 18 points for WOT)

dtec - no tach
safc - tach needed (not a big deal really)

dtec beats the safc in every category pretty much.

i had the dtec. wiring fell apart (w/o even touching it for 2yrs). i ripped it out. sold it for $100. supposedly the guy that bought it fixed it, but had OTHER issues w/ it, and got rid of it.

i just bought a safc2 in black. i personally think it looks sick. it doesnt have all the neat features, but those features arent needed to make a great tune...just helps for those that need to datalog. and the wiring/quality is better.

either 1 is going to do the job.

the neo is nice also, same as the safcII just color screen with analog or digital views of what you are monitoring. You can even mix and match the views. I like it and it fits perfectly between the dash and the top of the hvac.

thats one of the main reasons i want the safc. mopar4srt, chris, is a good friend and after seeing the way his car ran on it and finding out how easy it was to tune it seems like the better of the two. i know the dtec has better features or what not. but sometimes more also comes with more problems.

thanks guys
