This thread is odd. I was coming back from a friend's house tonight and there was a white (clearly modded with exhaust and some DVD screen inside) Evo with a passenger. I didn't want to look dumb so I didn't downshift or anything.

After about 3 minutes of going 70mph and him right on my side at the same speed, he downshifts and guns it down 163. I kind of double took the car because I figured, is it even worth it? He gunned it and was pretty much gone but I downshifted anyways so I caught up to him but at that point he stopped accelerating.

They are fast but I think I could take a stock one from a roll.

I have both so i can say from experience, it doesn't take much. Stock Evo's have very little up top, everything is down low and the launch of course. You should be able to take one from the roll now, i have done it several times with mine. My cars are both not stock but on the freeway my SRT owns my EVO but on the street the EVO walks the SRT (but not for long)
