I went to get new tires installed the other day. Took them 3hrs to perform the work. When they drove the car to the front I saw that the wheels were dirty as all hell. I looked closer and saw that ever single wheel was scratched or heavily nicked. Long story short, im dropping of the SRT back there for 5days while they have my wheels repaired. They are going to supply a rental car. Here are all the scratches and nicks. Keep in mind, there wheels were in MINT CONDITION when I dropped it off. I just waxed them last week.
PS: Look at the Pregnacy in the tire on the last pic of this post. I think they ripped the bead when installing it..

I worked as a tire installer for 18months at discount tires. They were using the old style tire changers. Its wasnt the machines fault, The fact the these tires are stiff and hard to remove...... the fact that the guy look like a monkey humping a football trying to remove them for 20min per tire. He got sloops and started nicking the wheel with the Pry tool.

Needless to say they are kissing my ass now. I threated to go to there Regional VP with the car and file a lawsuit in small claims. They are going to fix it..
they didnt warn u first, i took mine to get it fixed which they had to take it off and they said that might ruin my wheels becasue they didnt have the right machine to do big rims, so i took somewhere else.
In kearny mesa on Clairemont mesa BLVD. There staff sucks.. Im sure this isnt the first time they have had problems.
Hmm...I have a similar story. I went to the Firestone on Convoy to get one tire in 205/50/R put on a stock rim. I even brought in my blown Kuhmo tire so they can get all the specs.
After the installation went through and everything, I did not notice this and infact, it has been 2 weeks now and I just found out that the tire is about an inch thinner than my 50/R kumhos. Well it turns out they gave me a friggin 205/40/R. It looks like a spare compared to the other tires.
I made some time today and went back to firestone and told them they put the wrong tire on and that was after I gave them the blown tire and what not. They inspects the tire while on the car and says he will refund my money and install the new tire (more money) or I can bring in the right size and they can still put the new tire on with a full refund as long as the bead is not messed up on the tire which it is not.
So that is my story. I have been to the Evans on Convoy and they seem pretty cool and competant.

for all the san diego peeps, the discount tire in cholo vista is pretty good. i don't know if a guy named alex still works there, but he worked up front and he helped get me a hell of a deal on some yokohama es 100'. thats back when i had my 300zx and he was able to get me the yokos for cheaper than kumho's, plus they did a good job of not screwing up my rims and they were balanced pretty good too. i highly recommend them.
