the head will take like 1-2weeks (figure only 1-2 runners each night).

hopin to buy a beater soon but if not we can make it work anyways. I'm really not that worried about the intake right now. The upper manifold will be easy to port. Like take it off on a Friday port on Saturday and reinstall on Sunday.
Or I'll look into gettin a core or maybe just swappin a whole different one in general.

pretty much. Just feeding it as much air as possible up top without touching the shortblock. Just like any normal V8, heads and cam will net big gains. I've just got 4 cams is what makes me different.
I would eventually like to go boosted but we'll see. I'd rather just get an 03/04 and swap the stock charger for twins

and man, only advice i can really give you is...do it once, do it right.
ive gone through 4 turbos, 4 diff injectors, 2 cams, 2 diff cam gears, 2 throttle bodies, 2 different charge pipes, etc.
all that adds up. if i woulda done it all "big" like what i have now, the 1st time, i would saved my self like 4-5gs.
i got "small cams" and they werent enough cus i didnt think ahead down the road. now i got the biggest i can get. i got a small turbo kus i didnt think id be wehre im at now. i got a small throttle body kus i didnt think id be pushin what i am now...kno what i mean?
you also need to remember I'm not going all out. If I was going all out I would not do anything at ALL and just save up for twins.
Although this NA setup will be the perfect predeccesor for twins anyways so it works out perfectly. If I stay NA then I'm running mid to low 12s. If I boost I'll be deep into the 11s
