wait for a bit man and lets see what people are doing w/ the s256...
someone did a back to back test of a 3076 vs. a s256 on a built motor honda...and the 3076 did the same hp as the s256 until about 24psi. and the 3076 spooled 400rpms faster. lb for lb., mod for mod. 3076 would pretty much take the s256, until 24+psi...IN THAT SCENERIO.
granted, its a different car, diff motor, diff stroke...but the same principles still apply. and the results were evident that the s256 spooled slower than the dbb counter part...

my car is/has always been a pump beast. and ima stick to the roots.
similar to my last turbo, but a tad bit more punch.
sorry to say, but 3-500rpms faster spool > a turbo that makes 20-40more hp...
