same instance as if you go pull the WG line off a stock wga. stock wga has a 4lb spring.
pull the line off and its going to spike way past 25psi.
w/ no boost source being sent to it, there is no boost to open the WG diaphram to bleed the boost off...so it just builds up in your manifold and makes you spike like crazy.
at this point only 2 things i can think of if you arent leaking is possible WG or a bad rebuild maybe
and you said the WG isnt leaking out of the vband...?

ahhh I see. Im waiting for the car to cool down and ima do another boost leak test. Hopefully something will pop up. I also noticed some shaft play. Side to side and in and out. It seems to be a bit excesive to me. I will have to have you check it out.

side to side is absolutely normal.
in and out = bad rebuild....
just from you telling me its in and out tells me thats the problem.
if you did a boost leak check, and checked w/ soapy water and didnt find nething, i got a feeling thats it.

there is deff more side to side movement than in and out. In and out is only a lil to where it barely clicks.
