I just read about this photo technique today and I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately your suppose to have a tripod in order to get the best results, and I don't have one, so I'll have to do more some other time... but until then, I'll post up the few of em.
I'll keep working on them some more and see if I can get them better... Remember, It's my first try with HDR so don't be a bitch...

There are different ways you can do it actually, What you do is you take 3 different photos of the same thing (Taken at different exposure levels so you can get the full color spectrum) and it combines the dark levels of the low exposure pics with the white levels of the high exposure pics. Then in the same program that does the HDR, you get the option for like billions of settings, that change how the picture looks... so I'm experimenting with it.
BTW here's two of the pictures taken without any editing, (Note that these pictures started as 3 different photos but were combined as one.)
Note the contrast of the pictures... Great shadow detail and black levels, and also great contrast. Also keep in mind, the pics were taken with a crappy little point and shoot camera and not a DSLR.
