Sorry to hear about the car but glad that you're okay. If you've got a squeaky clean driving record and currently have a safe driver discount at least with my insurance you'll get a one-time freebie on insurance rate increases.
If you haven't "worked" with an insurance company before don't take their first offer. Start collecting info and the selling prices for other cars in the area on craigslist, ebay, local newspaper/dealers and if they try to low-ball you start faxing the adjuster all the higher priced ones you can find along with the higher of the private resale value sites (kbb.com, nadaonline.com, edmunds.com, etc.). Some of them use independent companies to do the same thing and if you can show some of the higher priced ones on the market (which you can now thank those dealers and other people who you might have previously considered as having crazy high asking prices) you probably won't do too badly.

Dont worry about your rates. They probably wont go up at all. You didnt have no coliision with opther vehicles and such.
I know since i flew off the road one time and bent my lower driverside radiator support and my bumper went to shit. Insurance cut me a check and they never even reported it or taxed my insurance rates.
Now if i wouldve have hit a car or something then yes ide worry about it. good luck!

well, i don't think i'll be getting another srt4, just want to move on to something else. i will for sure be getting back into rallyx though. thanks for all the support, too bad we weren't able to get things together on that car like we planned.
hotsauze, yeah, we'll have to set up a meet once i get something else. going japanese for now since i can get an awesome deal with buddy club for parts. i'll pretty much just buy something ok for now, take the insurance money and put it in savings, then wait till i find what i want and get something nicer. i'd probably then keep the beater for rallyx so i don't mess up the nicer car and still have transportation if one of the cars is out for a while.

Sorry to hear about your lose. Good to hear that your okay. To thinking a screwed up floormat could do that. I had a floormat scare in another car a long time ago, didn't have an accident but I now straighten the floormat out when I get into any car.
I'd be interested in your stock rotors if they haven't been turned and have plenty of life left. Let me know what you want for them and send me some pix. Where you at? for pickup.
