whats going on people..i have an 03 and i had the timing done on it and when i got it back the car would stay at a certain rpm and then when i came to a full stop it would drop..but other than that the car would drive by it self at a steady rpm and mph.. but it went away and i have a code p0420 and i was driving with the short ram intake and i just installed the adapter to make a cai the intake is from k&n...well the car feels that the power is there but i dont feeling moving as before my timing went off..and when i hit fourth gear i step on the pedal all the way and the car doesnt go no where and i cant hear the engine like if its off or something but its not..does any one have an idea what could this be thanx alot.....
code p0420 - catalytic 1/1 efficiency.... thats what the trouble code is......if its still idiling funny disconnect the battery wait a lil while then re connect it that way it'll reset the pcm or pull the fuse.
if its not letting you go above 3 grand then its tps sensor

is because a while back like 2 months ago my timing belt riped and i had replaced it and timed the car..but the guy left it like mest up and the car was idlling high.and it hear if i had cams..and til like last two weeks i had my mechanic work on it and he left it koo..but now its acting up and it feels slow but the car is boosting..but when i punch it on the freeway when i shift to fourth gear all of a sudden the car like hesitates to go, or feels that theres no gas going in the system..it sucks
^Besides everything I mentioned above, you can also have a faulty Wastegate (Happened to me. You step on it, car hesitates, and then takes off a couple of seconds later.), or you thew the timing off when you replaced the timing belt.

You should have went to my mechanic when you wanted this done. PM me and I'll give you his info. He'll tell you what needs to be done.

if it idles high...you have a vacumm leak. check pcv or clean your throttle body. as far as getting the car "timed" no suck thing with this car. its controlled electronicall by the ecu. unless the timing belt has skipped a tooth. but that would not cause a high idle.
it does sound more like a tps issue. just get the rewire kit and call it a day for that issue.

Its on the throttle body. There are two things attached to the throttle body, one is the TPS, and the other is the IAC. When looking at your TB, the IAC is the top one.
i had this issue when boosting in 4rth gear over 30% throttle the car would pop and backfire and not go anywhere, third gear would only do it when boosting at 60% throttle or higher, It was the fuel cutoff, i was reading a higher map voltage and the engine ecu thought i was boosting higher then i really was or something like that (not really sure) but as soon as i got the SAFC2 and reset to basic settings that issue stopped. I can not give it 60% throttle in 4th gear and accelerate smoothly, im just boosting less.
