I had a credit card through them and a while back when they first got into trouble my interest rate and that of all the people I knew was jacked way up to try and let them cover there ass. Well like many people I cancelled my card and looky looky same year they try and F over there customers they go belly up.

I have a card through them because it gives me free access to my FICO score, which is nice. I have a balance on it from when I was stupid with cards, but I haven't actually used it in months.

The DOW dropped almost 800 points when the vote on the bailout failed - it is good to see that someone on Capital Hill still has some intelligence. There is no way taxpayers should be bailing out these banks - or paying for Detroit to catch up to European and Japanese competitors.

And I don't think this is the last of the bank failures either - it will be interesting to see what happens as this unfolds.

They were warned in the Spring that they were on a slippery slope, and they said they were going to be fine. They were hiding a lot of their problems, and when all the hitters starting pulling their money out, the feds shut them down. From what I heard, they only had FDIC insurance up to $100k, so if you had a couple Million with them...../wrists.

Whiskers!
