Well if you did not go tothe Import fantasy show/race ya did not miss a heck of alot.
- Not nearly as many race cars (that said they were gonna show up) showed up. Only one evo raced (the RNR shop car) and no subies!!! The good thing is it allowed me to get in a bunch of runs in and I'm really starting to get comfortable with the car and how it runs.
- 4 SRT's showed up to race with two racing in bracket. A SRT-4 took 2nd place in ET2 If this were a 1/4th mile race he would of won,he just ran outta track.
- SRTPWR41 (Jose) Ran a couple of 8.4's!!! when he I ran against him he cut a 1.8 60'!!! Jose also beat the blue 80's something Turbo'd GTI that shows up at the Q, keep in mind folks the GTI is closing in on 400 WHP!!! I talked the staging guy into making them run
- Before today my best time was a traction limited ( I can't launch for crap) 9.3 @81mph. Today I made it into the 8's with a very traction limited 8.9 at 82mph!!! I feel bad for the new mustang that I spanked
- Two V8's were allowed to run in the test/tune practice runs because of the low number of race cars. One guy had a bad ass old GTO, that thing ran great!!!
- All and all I had fun, the event turned out a bit smaller than what was expected but had a good time, got some great pics and I think there is a video of me spanking the mustang and of Jose spanking the crap outta me
So with that being said, I will race at Barona again!! Loved the track, loved the fact that it actually has stands so you can see others run well, and from what I was told the track is normally prepped better than it was today. In the morning no super great, but as the day went on it got better.
sweet... good for yall im glad yall had fun... but i ran my all time great run... STOCK BOOST PORTED TURBO S1 8.5 @85 with 1.86 60 ft... on drs... using the lil 8th to 4th convertor.... 8.5 comes out to 13.17... not bad for my mods...cant wait to up the boost... low low 8s here i come

Yeah but that's parris so add about 3 tenths correction for lack of timer calibration!!! Dude I'm telling ya that track timer set up is really suspect!!!!

Yeah but that's parris so add about 3 tenths correction for lack of timer calibration!!! Dude I'm telling ya that track timer set up is really suspect!!!!
think about this...we run slower times at Q bc its is uphill the track is not flat... i dont think this timer is off i might think the mph might be alil off...im smelling some hating....sniff sniff

Julio, the track kept getting better and better as the day went on. I'm sure you would of been around 7.5 at this track.
They added a heads up class and in the final it ended up being the RNR evo against an all motor CRX. On the 1st couple of runs the crx looked quick but not as quick as some of the other purpose built race cars we have seen. It seemed as if this would be a fairly easy win for the RNR evo.
- This is what I love about drag racing. The evo and CRX line up, The evo gets thier usual all wheel drive good launch, The CRX also get's a good launch (had gigantic slicks!!), after the launch the evo kinda stumbles and the CRX took full advantage and wins on a 7.4 against the evo's 7.5!!! This was one of the best drag races I've ever seen!!!!

Nah man, I don't hate I congradulate!!!! Heck it could be your slicks that are making the difference. I just don't trust the times at that track that's all.
