Uh no, Texas Registered active duty Marine are excempt from california registered vehicle code. And the law actually states you can have a modded exhaust as long as it is still within the standerds set in the Vehicle code. I have a smog cert. for the exhaust that is on the car as well, a requirement to get a base decal. So the cop did not know what he was doing and let me off.
