Anyone interested in cruising some awesome canyons?
Hey guys, i live in calabasas, right next to some of the best canyons to drive through and have a little fun. If your careful and don't punch it too hard it can be a whole lot of fun. Anyway to find some of these canyons follow these directions......
Get to Las Virgenes or the Malibu Canyon Exit. Go towards the beach for about 10 minutes and you can either...Take a left on mulhulland drive(this really isnt that much fun, i would suggest this more for people not lookin for a lot of turns) or continue straight.....The next light you get to is Piuma Drive(one of my favorites). Turn left and if you want just go all the way, it spills out onto Ramblo pacifico which will take you straight to the beach. Piuma has some awesome turns and great scenery and some cool places to stop and smoke a bowl/ciggarrette or just enjoy the scenery......Now you can continue down Malibu canyon but there isnt much fun to it as it just kinda takes you to malibu and is usually full of traffic........Now if you continue down Mullhulland, the first turn, you will come to a road on the right, you have to pay attention but its pretty easy. The name of the road it STUNT rd. yes stunt road. If you want some fun go up stunt road. It takes you to a beuatiful cliffside spot overlooking the ocean. Once you get to the top you can go right or left, go right and find La Tuna Canyon road. This my friends is the mecca of all canyon roads. It is a one lane(no oncoming traffic) road tucked back into the canyons that is full of drifting glory. It has everything from awesome straight aways to 360 degree turns. If you go down the left side of stunt you will get to topanga canyon road which will take you to the beach.
Let me know if anyone wants to check em out id be glad to show em off.. besides ive been tryin to get something started closer to my house and i know there has to be people that like the canyons as much as i do...
Sounds like alot of cool roads. Would love to make it over there but it is a little far for me in Menifee (just north of the San Diego/Riverside boarder). Keep us posted on anything you put together I have relatives in Mission Hills which may make this possible as an overnighter. Post pics if you have any.
