7/3 (Thur) *TONIGHT*: Shelby Dodge/turbo Dodge Applebee's Meet (La Habra/Brea)

For those who haven't made it out to one before and aren't familiar with the schedule, tonight is the first Thursday of the month and that means the SoCal Shelby Dodge meet is tonight. It's also open to anyone with a turbo Dodge (to include SRT-4's), Mopars, or anyone for that matter. There's usually a wide range of cars that show up anyways.

We meet at the La Habra Applebee's with most people starting to show up around 7:30-8:00 and then head inside to eat around 9-ish, then afterwards, hang outside for a while. I'm usually one of the last to leave at midnight but you don't have to stay all night or show up too early if you've got other plans. If you get there and we're already inside just look for the giant crowd in the back or ask the server where the car club is at (we've been meeting here for something like a decade now so they know who we are ).

For directions, go to Applebee's web site and enter "La Habra, CA" at the top to pull up a map. It's off the 57 and west on Imperial Hwy, right after Idaho Street on the left hand side. Address is as follows:

It looks like a nice spot for a chill car experience. Older looking crowd though...Really old.

It's a mix. There are a few people that have owned their cars since new in the late '80s.

I just might show up with my dad then.

My dad has a 1971 Custom Deluxe 8 lug pickup truck with a 292 CI V6 with shit loads of torque and a 4 speed transmission (that you use 2nd gear to get it in motion unless you have a really heavy load) that he does not want to get rid of. I know it's not a dodge but it still runs strong even after the odometer has stopped working. I know he'll fit in.
