I can usually make it up there on Friday's a lot easier. I might try to head out tomorrow night. Dave from Dynowork's is supposed to be doing some shakedown runs in his car.
Is dave gonna run tomorrow?!!! shit, I wanna be there... (I though it will be on 23-24th).

Since the big race is this weekend, I'm pretty sure he was going to do some runs to dial in his new setup this Wednesday. Have to see what he says in the other thread.
It's raining half way decent out here tonight, and according to the weather forcast it's suppose to continue through tomorrow. I might be down for next Wednesday though, or maybe not. I installed my short throw last weekend but I want to get my coilovers on first...
It's been raining a little out here in 29 Palms today. If you could, post something in the afternoon so I get an idea of what the weather's like out there. It's a long drive to just be rained out on.
Looks like I won't be heading out then. I'll PM Dave, but I guess he probably already knows.
It's a little bigger drive, but I'm planning on driving out to Vegas for their Midnight Mayhem runs at the speedway this Friday if anyone else is interested. They start at 10pm and run until 2am. They were busy the last time I went but I still got 4 runs in an hour and a half. Better track prep too. Only cost $5 to watch and $10 to race, and they don't care what you bring (as in no tech inspection).
My friend saw a 12-second Shelby Cobra last time. The best part was the guy was only wearing a baseball cap for his run. Gotta love Nevada unlike the communist state of Cali.
There are still scattered showers in the Palmdale area, and even where it's not raining the roads are still wet. I imagine the water in combination with the oil on the track isn't going to be too fun...
Also, it looks like there should be a nasty head wind blowing uptrack.
