All the Cali folks have been wanting to do a Vegas meet/track day/casino/club extravaganza.
I wanted to initially go for my birthday, but since that's a Tuesday and I have my first exams that week I want to aim for Oct 1-3rd.
Since all our wonderful vendors are preparing for SEMA... this will constitute as a SRT4 event.

2004 Midnight Mayhem season at The Strip begins Friday; Bonus for first 150 racers entered
The 2004 season for Midnight Mayhem at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway begins Friday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. The popular late-night series was instituted by LVMS two years ago in an effort to get illegal street racers off the roads of Las Vegas and ClarkCounty and into the safer environment of The Strip.
The first 150 racers through the gates at Midnight Mayhem on Friday will receive a free National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) rulebook and a discount coupon good for a $10 savings for either the Street Sport Compact or Street class at the first Jerry’s Nugget Championship Drag Racing Series points race (April 17). All Midnight Mayhem racers will receive a 2004 LVMS participant decal and a copy of SummitRacing.com’s drag-racing school handbook.
“One of the primary objectives of the Midnight Mayhem program was to take the illegal racers off of the streets and properly educate them to become responsible drag racers,” said Chris Blair, LVMS’ senior director of drag racing operations. “Now that we have made a significant impact in making Las Vegas’ streets safer, the next step is to properly educate these racers to join an NHRA-approved racing program such as the Jerry’s Nugget Series.”
The NHRA is the world’s largest sanctioning body of organized drag racing. A number of Midnight Mayhem participants also have entered The Strip’s NHRA Sport Compact class with remarkable results, including a first-time winner.
Midnight Mayhem is open to any licensed driver with proof of insurance and any street-legal car or bike. Each vehicle undergoes a safety inspection before permission is granted to compete. Admission is $10 to race, $5 for spectators. No alcohol is allowed or sold on the premises. Each Midnight Mayhem event includes an International All Stars car show, hip-hop DJs and midway attractions.
Cost $10 to race and $5 to spectate
Saturday, October 2, 2004 Sight see, gamble, sleep in, eat cheap buffet and then storm the streets of Las Vegas!!!
Sunday, October 3, 2004 Check out of hotel, eat cheap breakfast, start driving back, and those who want to stop at the outlet can... grab lunch and GO HOME!!!
Would like to know more details, like: How much and how many days is the track day? Is it 1/4 mile or road course? Are there vendors involved? any deals on hotels? I most likely can't go, but depending on the details, I might try for a day.

Mike... it's hard to get vendors in Vegas... they're all here in Cali. LOL.

It's a drag strip... 1/4 mile... I believe... I posted in the Southwest forum for some help on hotel prices and the drag strip.
It's my birthday too, the 3rd, but it is also the first one without my mom, her birthday happen to be the same day (3rd). My brother has something planned plus my kids have been iching to go to Disneyland (haven't been in three years, that's half a lifetime for a 6 year old).

My birthday is on the 28th of Sept. My family knows to celebrate EVERY DAY of this month. J/K
