I actually ran 14.1@ Lacr w/ just catback and trapped 100. Dave was there and so was Gunnar. They had import shootout qualifications that night. I have always ran fairly well at LACR. W/ S2 I managed a 13.4@104.9 while an 04 Cobra was running 13.7@105.1 w/ an intake. He was a little upset. LACR does bite when there is a head wind especially since the latter part of the track shoot's uphill. Some guys don't run good at all there and some do. I ran a 13.9 on DR's w/ a 2.1 60ft with just catback as well there. I live around the same elevation as LACR so that might be a reason I run well there. I have seen a couple stock srt's run 14.3's so with a good driver low 14's are deffinately possible.

And djanakin, it is $15 to race and if you just go to watch it is $5. The temps are always pretty cool there cause racing is from 5-10pm.

last time i was there we were by the shack helpin a buddies wrx who had an ic pipe come undone.. and we hear screeching and then a dudes motor blew up.. halfway down the track. the crews DID NOT come out and clean up the mess untill 3 cars later after a civic hatch hit the mess and spun into the wall.. still runnin a 12something.

there was a red srt-4 with cf hood an trunk there too who went thru after the guy blew his motor. he said he almost lost it too.

i have an 03 with stage 1 and a agp cai. I ran a 14.1 on a run when it was still 95 out and my flywheel bolts came loose on the takeoff. i didn't think it was anything until I finished the run. it was stupid of me too. I had to replace my clutch and flywheel because the dealership said it wasn't covered by warrenty

I'm probably going to try to head back out there tonight. Not sure if it's the crappy track prep, elevation, temps, or combo of everything but my previous runs weren't the best there. Then again, Fontana wasn't much better (guess it could always be that driver error).

I will probably go out tonight. Don't know if I'll be doing any racing, so maybe I'll just come out to check out your guys rides.

Anyone know if it's raining over in Palmdale and what their procedures are for rain? I'd hate to drive out 2 hours and not be able to run.

I think that once you pay, thats it. If it rains, your SOL. Do a weather search, I think they have one on there web page.

I'd already checked the weather and they show a 30% chance of rain. Just wondering if anyone local up there knew what it looked like and if the track usually gets shut down all night or until it stops. Oh well, I'm out the door and guess I'll find out.

It was nice to meet you guys out there tonight. I didn't get any names though...I guess there is always next time. Sorry about the bad track times too, I don't think anyone really likes the Palmdale track...

I'm not the best with names, but mine should be in my sig. I was just looking at the time slips for my three runs and me and my car were extremely consistent tonight... consistently crappy.

All my reaction times were within a .02 second range. My 60-foot times were all within .05 of each other. My ET’s were all within a .05 second range and the trap speeds were within about a half of a MPH range.

Too bad all the number suck. (~1sec,2.5,14.8,96.5)

Maybe I should take out the 17k mile factory paper air filter. Yeah, that's it. That must be what's wrong...
