Raced one from 90-150 on the freeway. The S60R was Stock and borrowed from daddy, by the age of the driver.
Im running stage 1 and dropin filter. I had two other guys in the car.
S60R was over taking me at 150MPH. He has about 5MPH on me. I was pegged going up a slight grade at 145. He was beating me straight out. I might have held him if I didnt have an extra 300lbs of guys in the car.
Those things are fast! Beware.

STOCK!!! No really, its stock..
Nah, but a full tank of gas and 3 people in a car can sandbag pretty bad.. The Srt4 I raced earlier got stomped!
excuses....excuses, if you had won, you would have been bragging, saying you had 300 lbs in the car and still beat him. dont race next time then, better yet dont race at all, no wonder insurance is so high for the srt4's, dumbass's like you get into too many accidents.
Funny, I just had a long run a while ago with a nice felow in a Volvo S60-R and his friend with 05 Maxima... Every race started from 70ish mph and ended about 115 and twice to 135mph... Before flames, the freeway had way less traffic than regular and it was a straigh line. Their 2.5L Turbo engine is pretty damn good on top end...
1st run: by 115 I was 3 cars ahead of them
2nd run: They started ahead of me and I punched it... I was not pulling until I shifted to 4th and started to pull and past them ended up at 135 by 2.5-3 cars ahead.
3rd run: by 135 I was 4 cars ahead of them
This was all on pump gas mode but none the less, I was surprised on how well they kept up.

My brother just bought a 07 S60R the thing is pretty damn quick I cant wait until it comes here from Sweden. Then I'll see how a stock SRT does against a S60R and against my bro's G35 coupe too. Then the G vs the S60R too. Ill tell you guys how it went but the Volvo wont be here until sept 7 or something like that.

Get over yourself Gooky. Two extra people makes quite a difference.
2 friends and only 300 pounds? I need friends like that. I raced a G35 with like 500 pounds between 2 guys in the car. Talk about feeling a difference. Stupid fatties.
I raced one last year, we were both riding solo....raced to about90 I thin...been awhile....I pulled on him steady and by 90 had about 1.5 to 2 car lengths.....that's was a roll from 30. I was so impressed I went and test drove one that same weekend. Sweet ass lookin rides man, honestly, if I was in the market for a luxury 4 door...that would be top on my list hands down. Beautiful car inside and out, and quick to boot!

Yeah, they are fairly quick and are fairly nice cars! I had a 96 850R wagon for a few years and that one was down 50 hp from the current S60R. I would buy one again if only the parts where not so expensive. Radiator went out and it cost like $380. ABS controller was $480.00
