Went to the races in Compton tonight with my wife (in my Accord), Derrin and Hawk (in Hawks Cobra). As Mary Jane and I are sitting in the drive thru at the Carls Jr. off the 91 and Central, Derrin calls me and says he got hit up by an SRT. I was like, well gimme a minute and I'll be right there, hoping to fill my pockets!!!!!
I pull up and the SRT belongs to a forums member, 93_black_civic is his S.N. I believe. Well after talking with him and a few of his friends (Really kool guys!!!!
), they decide to take 7 and the flag from the Cobra.
We run over to 135th and Main, and after a lil scare about the cops, we get the race off. Hawk steals the go ( just like the cheating bastard he is
), and they come through with the Cobra a few cars ahead ( more than a few, but I am a good sport). We wait for both drivers to talk a lil and after seeing the video, we all agree that the Cobra would have won anyways.
I enjoyed our lil run tonight and hopefully we can get some more decent runs later. Hats off to our competitors, they took a race they knew was stacked against them and had not a single bad comment afterwards!!!!
SRT: Forge BOV, CAI, 100 oct gas, boost 1? lbs., on street tires and stock motor mounts.
Cobra: Throttle body, Mass Air Sensor, Upper pulley and ET Streets.
