Im liking the typhoon CAI alot more than AEM just because its not a brand everyone goes with. ANyone have one or have anything to say about K&N products?
*bump* I'm wanting the typhoon CAI ever since it came out, and I'm STRONGLY considering on giving MP a call this week and ordering one. Who ever has one here, how do you like it? Feel a slight difference on the butt dyno? Turbo spoll faster? I'm sure it makes cool sounds but I'm curious on a performance aspect. Thanks.

I did all of the things/noticed all of the these you said. Including calling MPx to get it Plus the red looks amazing! I highly recommend the K&N CAI.

It may be slow, but V8 + manual transmission + RWD = always some fun to be had
The K&N Typhoon CAI is a great product with great gains, and it sounds awesome when you start spooling, not to mention it sits high enough unlike the other intakes that are snorkles going into the water.
I've had both intakes. The K&N is nice. The AEM is better.
With the K&N, I had to kinda convince myself that I was getting a performance gain. You know..."Man, my turbo sounds awesome now...I gotta be getting some more horseys!!"
Kinda the same thing I got when I put my Borla on. Truth is, on a stock 04, you aren't going to notice much from the Borla catback...but I convinced myself that I felt HP gains. Same applied with the K&N, but when I put the AEM CAI on my car, I didn't have to convince myself of jack.
The AEM provides a power gain you can actually FEEL. The car is peppier and quicker. I'll brave it and say that with my exhaust and this intake, I'm probably feeling the same gains as someone going from Stage 0 to Stage 1.
Go with the AEM CAI intake. Performance wise, it's a better product.
