Default EMS update

ok, first off, let me say i know something like a stand alone engine management system isn't something you can just bang out in one week, but i'm still curious to see what kind of progress you guys are having? anything that your having trouble getting to function correctly or anything like that? Can't wait till it's released! thanks.

Nothing new to report unfortunately. I will update everyone as the unit progresses.

i've heard that somewhere else too. it still just amazes me that an aftermarket company like AEM is having such a hard time with what seems to me to be a minor problem.

The EMS for the SRT-4 is likely to be released around the end of this year or early in 05. The real challenge is the in-vehicle communications network. This controls the dash among many other things and must be replicated before the product can move on. There is engineering work going on right now to try to solve this problem but it's very time consuming and will not be solved within days or even weeks. More like 4-6 months before we can move past it to the final design phase.

Ben.

Ben.

Thanks for the update. I'm just afraid that the encountered difficulties AEM is having will prompt them to scrap the plans by the end of the year.

Is there a dedicated team or person on the project?

I think our commitment to this forums says it all, but yes there is someone dedicated to this particular application.
