Default DC sports exhaust

also posted in tuner/parts reviews:

I installed this last week and I am very impressed. The fitment is perfect. The tips are very nice and I usually dont like ANY sort of shiny additions. They are very tasteful and they actually point outwards just a few degrees which adds a nice look. The sound is nothing less than perfect. I would venture to say that it is almost quieter than stock as far as the raspyness of the factory system had. This thing sounds like a jet airplane under boost now. I noticed an immediate difference in boost response upon the first drive. The top end pull is very noticeable as well. I usually shifted at 5000-5250 because it would fall off on top now it pulls all the way to the rev-limiter. I took it Fontana on saturday to see how it would do.

For comparison sake the last time I went racing the car ran 104.3 mph with boost at 19psi falling to 16 by redline. I had a full 3" turbo-back on it with a hi-flow cat and a 50/50 mix of 103 unleaded. The temps were in the 50's as well.

This time out I had the boost set at 17 falling to 15 @ redline. The factory cat was in place as well as the new DC exhaust and I ran good old 91 owl piss. The only difference elsewhere on the car was I had modified the factory I/C to use water. The track temps were in the high 70's this time. This time the car ran 104.7 mph. I actually had gotten a better 60ft this time as well which could be argued that I could have mph'd better with a weaker short time.

All in all less boost, quieter, no race gas, warmer weather and still ran faster.
