Oh and BTW Josh is no longer with the company so do not email him anymore!

The E-Mail I recieved from AEM stated that I needed to send the intake back so you could "Check the Fitment". I'm just curious if this is still the case. In order to recieve a new Intake you have to recieve the old one first?

Damn that! I sent my info to Josh...Never got a reply...Had to inquire with him again..Which Ben helped me out with....Josh said he got my info...

Now, you have thousands of SRT owners who are going to be "Carless" if they only have one car because they have to send the CAI PRIOR to getting the warrantied one?! Doesn't make sense to me. I already ruined a perfectly good CF hood for this to fit...I am not running the car without an intake. I will just keep mine.

Ben...If you need to, you can cancel my warranty request. No biggie.

Ben, come back to us with a reply. I think it's stupid to make us send our broken intakes in first. Why do you even need them?

All intakes must be accounted for. Someone cannot simply claim to have a problem, then AEM ships them an intake and then they have 2 intakes. What if they never had an issue to begin with, now they have 2 intakes. Everyone must follow the first post. As far as I know AEM will ship out the intake no charge, but not ship it to AEM no charge.

I just got off the phone with Ky Le at AEM. He told me the intakes will not be available until July 12th (THAT SUCKS). I don't know if that was for some and some have already shipped. I don't think that is the case, but I could be wrong. He also said that I do not have to return mine until I get the replacement. When the replacement intake is ready to ship, Ky will call me and get my credit card number to guaranty I will return the old intake.

AEM wants us to return the intakes so that people don't turn around and sell there old intake, and then possibly have more people complaining about the intakes. I can respect that. I just hope I don't have to pay for the return. I forgot to ask.

Ah, cool...I get it. Ya'll don't want us to turn around and sell our old intakes to people and then have them complain about having a broken intake

It's all making sense...this business of running a successful business, lol

thats pretty much a bunch of crap. you guys [AEM] made the mistake, you should pay for ALL shipping. none of these guys did anything wrong.

the "shipping the old one back first" makes sense tho.

not that i'll be buying *anything* AEM anyway. too many problems like this..then, tryin to f over your own customers..

out of curiosity.. did you guys even bother to test fit it on an SRT-4 before selling it?

Can you read, troll? We don't send the old intakes in first. Get the jizzum out of your eyes before reading a thread.

Secondly, they just want the old intake back. It's already a damaged intake. Do you think they want us to box it up all pretty and tie a bow on it? Hell no. I'm gonna wrap it in some paper, throw it in a box, and ship it UPS Ground for 4 dollars. And do you think I will care if they receive it mangled and busted? No. It's already mangled and busted.

Thirdly, if you don't have an AEM CAI, or any AEM product, then you don't belong in this thread voicing your opinion on the help AEM decided to give it's customers. You aren't a customer. Go. Away.

wow.. that was all uncalled for. haha troll. riiiight!

first off, i did read the whole thread. if you guys would read.. you would note that i had no problem with the sending the intakes back.. it was the fact that it doesn't look like they were gonna pay for you guys to ship the old intakes back to them. basically, you're having to pay twice for shipping to get what you should have gotten in the first place.

^^^ did you guys even read that?

and how do you guys know that i dont have an aem intake? i never said if i did or not. for all you know, i have one, and it fits just fine.

i'm a troll. good one. i was tryin to help those out who had to send theirs back, maybe tryin to bring up points that i didnt see asked in this thread.. but if you want to pay the shipping... whatever.. up to you. i never trolled. i asked honest questions, and made honest comments. seems to me that you guys are the trolls. trolls jump to conclusions, throw temper tantrums, and dish out unwarrented insults. see your own posts for what i mean.

also.. AEM is not *helping out*. they are fullfilling an obligation to replace a defective product that they sold you. if they hadn't been doing what they are now doing, you people with the defective intakes could have taken them to court. AEM is tryin to avoid that.
