Default big problem

On my way home from the country club my check engine little come on. Then my radio turn off and back on. I look under the hood didn't see anything out of place and figured I would reset my ecu and as soon as I start to move your short ram intake I get a arc from the battlery cable connector to the intake. The rubber mat that is supost to protect that has worn a hole the size of a dime and is arcing. So I removed the cable and taped the hole and the cable connector with black electrical tape for a quik fix . I have had your producted for a year and have a little under 4000 mile on the intake 5000 on the car so can you send me a rubber mat. If so send me a pm and i will give you my address

thank you
philip bishop

You don't need a rubber mat. Sounds like your muffler bearings are bad!! Take it to the shop and have them replace them.

Go get some Dieelectrical grease (cost about 4.99a t Pepboys) and lubicate the battery connectors ends (coat it). I have the same tubing and experiencing no problems.

Then do the same with the cermanic surface of the spark plugs, plug wire ends, and boot jacket.

Oh...go purchase a tire patch kit. Remove the large square and apply some rubber contact glue. This is about what AEm must of used for that patch. However, I have a thermo blanket intake tube cover.

I thinks thats ifs you rotating the yellow air in the tires, then decompress the inverted inducer on the negatively side of the turbine charger, you too can have a non arced environment with little to no MSG.

You can fix this problems yourselves without involvement AEM in the situation.

Sorry bro, had to do it, your typing is killing me...

All you need to do is move the battery as far to the right as possible. Then there will be no more rubbing of the intake against the terminal.

And that hole you wouldnt have had if you were to move the battery to the right in the first place.

Really, its not the end of the world. Throw a dab of silicone on where the rubber wore through and enjoy life....

Was the pipe always in direct contact? It should never be in contact. This rubber lining is in place incase you decide you want to crash your car in a frontal impact. You can order this part from mcmaster.com
