tony, lets think about this for a second, shall we.
first off, economics. designing, fabricating, tuning, marketing, and running a company costs money. inorder to afford said company requires making a profit. profits are directly related to number of units sold, cost of research, cost of production, etc. the aem box costs a lot because there is a lot in there and it took years of work to produce
secondly, aem does not make much money from direct sales, when compared to sales they make from shops who sell their product. if they were to sell it the cheapest, there would be no reason for shops like myself to sell their products. hence the reason ebay is cheaper
third, you get what you pay for. is aem expensive? yes. does it tune better than any other tuning device for the srt4? yes
you can buy an safc for hecka cheap, why do you want an aem afterall? you want it because its a better product. better products cost more. same thing about not being able to afford a ferrari even if ferrari can sell them for less
