Default Aem Cai

This is my question. I want to order a CAI for my SRT-4, but after reading all these threads about very minimal gains and the fact that there is no bypass valve for turbo'd cars makes me worried. What is the chance of my intake sucking in water? I live in San Antonio and the streets suck here, but even under full throttle conditions (would never do it in rain, but just saying worst case scenario) what are the chances of sucking in water while it's raining/wet outside? This is the only thing holding me back. Also, how accurate are you dynos with the CAI. Other members on the forum are saying its only a 3-5HP/3-5TQ gain, is this true?

Dont have the AEM. But with regards to water, only thing need to remember is liquids dont compress. If at any time you find yourself in a situation were the road(s) have water deeper than level of your CAI you need to not drive or at least kill the engine.

Best advice I could give you is read more about the AEM CAI system your thinking about buying. IMHO (based on K&N typhoon) the stock air box works fine for at least street duty. Actual track use not dynos is what you should base your purchase on.
