Corvette ZR1 Laps Nurburgring In 7:26.4

Wow, Chevy basically did exactly what it appears they set out to do. It would still be interesting though, if one auto magazine got ahold of about half a dozen of these super vehicles and ran the ring, all the standards being the same, same driver.

Wouldnt expect any less. The Z06 is an incredible vehicle already and they go and improve it to make the ZR1. Wow.

Wait for C&D to do their updated testing at VIR Grand Course (3+ miles). They'll hopefully pit the ZR1, Viper ACR, GTR, new 911 turbo, and a couple other 100-150k supercars and see who comes out ahead.

Nice. I would really like to see what the ACR viper does around it.
Also. The GT-R is meant to compete with the Z06. The Vspec will compete with the ZR1.

Well, The engineer would know the car better than anyone.. And I would imagine he is pretty experienced at the ring'

You can't be an effective suspension development engineer without knowing how to drive the vehicle you are developing.
This past Monday I watched an SRT engineer make laps at a road course in a Caliber testing upgrade parts.

Yeah but there is a reason they are engineers not professional drivers.
