read the Super Street article on the ecotec (talks about what's needed to maintain 800 realiable WHP). GM will be selling all their go fast goodies (high hp parts for their ecotec) to the public..
i live about 20 mins from the plant their being built at. and one of my best friends works on the line there. he told me they are having all kinds of problems with these cars going together and not running right on the line . funny, though i bet 9 out of 10 people that put these kits on their car will blow up in the first 5 mins of running. iam not making fun , but these are j - body owners after all!!
good! bring on the competition!!! thats what makes this sport so fun

actually it was released the other day, you can order the parts right from the catalogue.
Sounds kind of like the ol' FR300. Anyone remember that? It was the 300HP focus that roasted a Z06. All of the parts were available in the Ford racing catalogue.
Chances are GM was just developing parts for their Ecotec drag program and are trying to get some extra publicity. If you have the right catalogue you can order parts to build yourself a Nascar motor. I've handled 3 of those. The old Bowtie series engines, and 2 SB2's (Based on LS1 technology).
