Default WTF! Stock 05 Mustang goes 13.35 @101mph...

I don't think so... I know this is not the thread to say this, however I do like the new Mustang. I would like it better if they did a Shelby version...., however I just can't believe that a stock 05 Mustang GT could pull these numbers.

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=323112

There was a link to a Mustang Forum on it as well, but I cannot find it.

the auto version ran a 13.6@99 awhile back if I remember correctly, so a stick going 13.3@101 is not hard to believe, they rip out of the hole, as obvious from the thread you linked...

from what i have read on stangnet most manuals will run a 13.5, there was a guy that ran a 14.1 (i think thats right) but he was at high elevation. There was another guy that ran a 13.2 by just removing the ac, rear seat and spare. Im been seriously considering gettin the new mustang instead of the SRT-4. Mainly cause i get a nice discount, military and/or X-plan. (i dont think i can use both)

EDIT: and the fact that is RWD

The 13.3 is legit he posted slips and everything and it was witnessed by the folks from that Camaro board and his validity was backed up by a few GTO owners as well.

This guy ran something like a 13.8 or something at first with the paper tags on the car think he said he had it like for a couple days. Then like a 13.4-13.5 I think after the car broke in and he hit this latest 13.3

I'm sure when the '05 Mustang GT's start getting more miles on them like 10K to 15K a lot of people will be getting low 13's in the 1/4 mile. '05 Mustang GT's have been out for a month or two only, and at most have a few thousand miles on the odo.

I hardly think a RWD car with a live rear axle, with less power than, and weighing more than; is going to our run another live rear axle car. The car I am referring to is the SS Camaro.

OMG....I wasn't stating the Stang trapped 107. I said cars running 13.30s run 107mph traps. I've got an entire family that drives, and races, and we've had performance V8's for YEARS. 13.3@101 = what an STi would do with an AWD launch. How does a rag run 13.5@106, and then someone runs 13.3@101? It doesn't make sense. That mph and Et = AWD to me. goslkhl, indeed.......oh indeed. I HAVE to be able to drive to know that 13.3@101mph and RWD doesn't add up. Did the thing take a shit 3/4 of the way down the track or what?

the new stangs jump out of the hole like nothing else. the funny thing about the car is that its not all that fast from anything other than a total stop. their 5mph - 60 roll in car and driver was .3 seconds slower than its 0-60. so if you cant jump on it from a standstill, your slow!
