i live in taylorsville and to quote some of you saying im the shitty driver that wasnt the case when a guy makes the right turn into traffic that he shouldnt have making me slam on my brakes because he turned in as someone was turning so technically not my fault it was his thats why he got the ticket not me
Are people in Utah not very good with punctuation either?

So which story is true? The first one or this one?

doesn't matter if you get a ticket or not. you hit something else, it's your fault. there was something you could have done different even if you don't want to admit it.

.. this is why there is that "3-second rule"; stay 3 seconds behind the car in front of you, and you would've been able to stop. People don't realise how much space it takes to actually stop a vehicle.
Shitty luck; but back off the person in front of you a little more when you get it back. Have fun, but do it safely.
edit: My above response was to the original post. You said someone slammed on their brake in front of you, not turned-out in front of you, making it sound like you actually were at fault. In this case, it was just shitty luck, it happens a lot here (forums) apparently.

Not always true, I had a girl pull out in front of me during crappy weather, she didn't even stop at the stop sign, she pulls right out and immediately puts on her blinker to make a left turn and stops, there was no way I could stop. Slammed into her back end doing about 20 mph with the brakes locked up for about 25 meters.
I told the cop she failed to stop at the stop sign, and she tells the cop "I slowed way down and almost stopped" and the cop said "Lady you can't be almost pregnant, and you can't almost stop" and wrote her up a ticket. Cop wrote her a ticket based on the weather conditions and her failure to yield. I still lost though, I only had liability and her insurance company refused to pay, even though she got ticketed. I was in college and didn't have time to fight them.
But, that being said, I think the OP is bullshitting now to cover his tracks. I sense the old "I looked away for a moment and the car in front of me stopped" going on here.
