Cant get on youtube here at work, ill check it out in a cpl hours.

Well, I put in a test drive for my wife online. Well see if we cant work some numbers out. I am torn though, the R32 has a 3.2l VR6 with 230hp, AWD. The GTIMKV has a 2.0l I4 Turbo with 200hp, FWD. Which should I go for. I love turbo cars and vowed that all my cars would be forced induction scince my first car purchase which was a 95 3000GT VR4. But the R32 is soooo nice, and it will be on the rare side. Wha do you all think?

How is this for a sign, I was looking for reviews on the GTI, and this is what I found lol:

The guy was kinda stop light racing with an SRT-4!

Quote:
On our way back to town we were stop light dicing (not racing really) with a young man in a Neon SRT-4. He already knew a lot about the GTI but was intrigued by its looks and ability to nearly keep up with him. Perhaps the new GTI will appeal to these youngsters as much as it will to those of us who remember the original. We’ll see.

I would go for the R32 is anything , it handles better than the GTI but i dont think its much faster than a GTI . Be warned for the price of the R32 your not getting much performance but since its for your wife there should be n problem .

Exactly what I was thinking, sexy center exit exhaust! I know the SRT is faster, but a chip, exh, intake, and theres a shitload more hp on tap for a euro. I know, i did that to my 1.8t beetle.

Love them, realy, but honestly, I want to get my wife something sporty, and the R32 is going to be rare, only 5k shipped into the US. The tdi Jettas cane be awesome to tune, and get great gas milage, but they dont have AWD either, shame.

It is faster, in all respects, but I think the 2.0t would mod better, and be able to overcome the edge of the VR6 in the R32. The R32 though has the awesome paddle shifting, allbeit its an "auto" per say.
