someone might have complained, or a admin might have seen it. if they do they will often just edit it. just shrink the picture a little and put it back up
The sig file size (300 x 300) isn't a secret, and it was done at the request of the membership...
Some people probably do report the large ones, I'm alwys tempted to report the ones that are larger than my monitor will support in the current resolution...
But, for the most part, it's probably admins just doing their job, and sending someone a PM is not part of a voluntary job....

Does anyone know what is considered less than 300 x 300? Do both dimensions need to be less than 300 or is it OK as long as the total 'area' is less than 90,000 pixels?
It makes sense to me if it is the product of the two dimensions being less than 90,000, but if that is not the case, this would not be the first time I was surprised at someone's reasoning...

I've lobbied for a wider, shorter sig being acceptable, but the people who will go to the trouble of creating a sig file 90,000 pixels tall, one pixel wide, just to piss off people ruined that idea before it was even tried.
Just because people have freedom, does not mean they need to push the limits of it.... My sig file was made for me by a moderator, and it turned out too big... oh well... at least we're allowed to ask the same dumb questions every day...
I dont know why people would complain, you can turn the sigs off in the options...
I think you already know the answer to that and at 101736 pixels, your signature is actually over the boundry. I was told that 600X150 is the boundry limit.
