Where to mount Radar Detector????????

I have a Black 2005 SRT Neon, and for Christmas I got a Radar Detector.
I was wondering where the best place to put it was. It's codrless so I can put it about anywhere. So any suggestions??

I got mine hooked onto the drivers side visor.

I used to have it suction cupped to the windshield, but when you hit a bump, it will sometimes bounce hard and fall off.

Inside the car. Had it on the outside hooked to the hood and it kept blowing off when I went above 40mph

Here is why: http://www.valentine1.com/cordless/

I took mine down. Its really no use in the SRT-4. If you are running hard you going to come up on the cops to quick for it to work anyway . Or maybe you can us it to tell you to pull over quicker before the cops catches you to write the ticket. Track not street man

Here in Virginia radar detectors are illegal (says something about the nature of ticketing around here, doesn't it?). Anyway, since you all seem knowledgeable about the subject, is there any type of detector that I could get away with using in Virginia without the pigs knowing I have one?

Shifter, you'd probably have to call someone or e-mail V1 on that one. Bumper mounted radar detectors are worthless just because of how low they are. But I don't know how exactly police detect them where they are illegal. Do they have a device that does or do they just look visually?

I know there is a technical term that is used to detect it but I forgot. VB or V or something? I know certain radar detectors have the ability to hide from it. Check out V1's website like I said.

Valentine 1 does have VG-2 Stealth on it. Undetectable to the "pigs". There
are several detectors on the market that have this technology. V1 also offers
a seperate indicator you can keep down low, for the "blacked out" look.

Thanks noTe. You're allright, I don't care what anyone else says. Castrol, thanks for the info. And I use the term pigs only to describe a cop who stops speeders, the ones who really protect and serve are vital to our society. I need to get that Valentine ASAP.
