i know alot of 240 guys like to throw the 1jz block into there car and i always thought it was single turbo
although that sc is definetly gonna be a beast
with Toyota products anything with an engine code ending with GE is Naturally Aspirated while GTE lets you know thats its a boosted application
1JZ-GTE = 2.5L Twin Turbo Inline 6...it revs a little higher and is said to have the better flowing head of the two. Developed by Yamaha
2JZ-GTE = 3.0L Twin Turbo Inline 6...its got the bore/stroke the 1jz doesnt have yet uses the same turbos. Also Developed by Yamaha
you have to make sure you dont get confused see the 240 guys can do a 2jz but its far simpler for them to do an RB25DETT or R26DETT. To do an RB swap into a 240 they have to source a Skyline GTS transmission as its RWD while the GTR is AWD. In the Nissan engine code world DE lets you know thats its NA while addit a T or TT tells you not only thats its boosted but how many are used.
RB25DETT = 2.5L Twin Turbo Inline 6
RB26DETT = 2.6L Twin Turbo Inline 6.....use a pretty trick Intake manifold with ITBs
