What the heck is a Tuscani??

So Im coming home from work and I roll up on this black Hyundai Tiberon GT. It looks pretty good with a little body kit and gunmetal gray wheels, but then I notive the trunk doesnt say tiburon....it says Tuscani..and the Hyundai badge is replaced by a badge that kinda looks like the Maserati badge. Where GT V6 goes, it says 3.2(or something) liter and then something below it like 'high output' or some jazz. Is this thing real or just Hyundai's new name for a tarted up Tiberon? It didnt seem to be any faster, but was louder definately.(Exhaust looked alot like the SRT) Car still looked pretyy good anyway. Just wondering

Tuscani is just a "special edition" of the tibouron. It has the badging, and some chrome accents inside.Nothing too different in the looks of them. sorta like how the "honda family" got the gold package and special edition!
But it is real

Tuscani is one of the names they call the Tiburon overseas (also sold as the Coupe in the UK). Since they don't sell it over here as that, it sounds like someone did a badge swap, which is a fairly common thing some of the owners do. Kind of like putting JDM Honda badges on an Integra since they don't have the Acura brand over there.

You can check out the following link for Hyundai's Tuscani website. It is in Korean, but the navigation is in English.

Speaking of Tiburon, it'll be nice to see if the convertible makes it to production. A retractable hardtop and some more power would make a very nice car. More pics/info here

Yes, it is just a regular Tiburon with Tuscani emblems on it. I along with many others have done it. To me it is a kind of way to let people know that I am into the car, and didnt just get it for a daily driver. The chrome looking letters also look better than the stock black ones.

Tuscani is what the car is called and badged as here in South Korea. The Tiberon was it's predicessor (how ever you spell that) and it flopped over here, needless to say Hyundai didn't want to follow with that name so they called it the Tuscani. I believe people in the states are ordering Tuscani badge kits.

Since we're talking about Tiburons, I'm gonna go on record and say that those are some hot looking cars. Fucking beautiful.

Yeah I test drove one when I was looking and just no power at all in it. My Stratus R/T was so much better then that. I opted for the SRT-4 though And yes with a poison body kit on that car it looks badass. plus if you look you can buy all kinds of body kits for it overseas.

Zefiero makes one of the best body kits I've seen for the car, it is a Korean company.

As far as I am aware the biggest they put in it is a 2.7L v6 the 3.2 is just a badge

The new Tiberon's are pretty nice...but the older body style ones I do not like at all.
