yep, it's called the "Concept R" and looks pretty bad ass. From the looks of things they're going to make this car. Here's a link to the VW website where they have a special section just on this concept with lots more pics and stuff:

Yeah after reading about this awhile ago in automobile magazine it sounds like a bad ass car. they said its supposed to go head to head with the Miata and MR2 but they were syaing with the hp and tq number's VW was putting out for the car they were saying that this VW would smoke both of those other cars with ease. And it had a pretty low price from what i remember as well
