Volvo readies three custom C30 concepts for SEMA

AUTO INSIDER NEWS | LAS VEGAS - - Volvo has commissioned three different tuning houses to help promote its new C30 hatch, which will display highly modified versions at this year?s SEMA auto show. Design will reflect differing personalities and tastes of Volvo buyers with themes aimed at performance, outdoor adventure and visuals.





The first of the three tuners is ipd, who?s building a supercharged 400-hp racer running on a modified coil-over suspension and features audio from Alpine and Apple and is painted with the Swedish flag.





For the outdoors enthusist, HEICO SPORTIV ? with a little help from Burton snowboards ? will utilize the C30?s AWD system to create a versatile off-roader, which will have more storage capabilities to lug around extra equipment. More durable body panels will protect the car from scuff marks.








For the fast and the furious crowd, there is the EVOLVE C30, which combines high performance internals with a stunning exterior. The car has plenty of show and go with ?stunning aesthetics? and ?staggering performance capabilities.? Expect wild color schemes and exotic materials for the car, which is said to combine the elements of an F1 car with the practicality of the C30.
