Default Vin #

Hey Hey
we are looking at a srt that I think is not the real thing how can you tell if it is real by the vin number or is there another way with another number somewere on the car

I'm assuming you popped the hood and looked for the turbo at least?
Otherwise, where in NJ and where's the car.

Nothing about color there. The first 11 of the VIN are used to Decode, the other 6 is pretty much the specific cars identity. All I can tell ya.

If that doesn't help you, call your local Dodge dealer with the VIN, they should be able to help you. You can also go here and enter it in:

Thanks for the info guys !! Soth we are in Washington that about 10 Mi from Clinton and 15 from Pburg in Warren County Easton Pa Is Close also Hackittown is the other way Hope we got you in the ball park net sure were the car is yet I have to call the owner to set up a date to see it

I would hope after test driving it, you would know if it's a real SRT-4 or not. Look for a boost gauge, 160MPH speedometer, rear brake calipers, and an intercooler. Those should be giveaways to whether or not it's real.

Maybe he's talking about a car with a motor swap. Rev the car to 3000 rpm and drop the clutch in 1st gear. If you get any traction at all it's not an SRT.
