Default UPS Sucks

I Bought a hood and had it shipped via UPS and this is how I got it. They haven't even said that they would pay to have it fixed yet. I've been fighting with them since sept 1. I took it to my bodyshop guy and he said that is costed him $816.38 CDN to fix it the whole hood was bent out of shape.

don't complain, it's a miracle of the modern world that you can send a damn hood through the mail at a reasonable cost. If it was packaged correctly and insurance was paid for, then claims can be made. Otherwise, pick up large items or have them shipped via FRIEGHT. Large items should always be trucked....

Thats why we discontinued shipping any body sized parts a long time ago through UPS/Fedex. They just arent designed to handle huge items like that. We use freight companies now and have generally had much better luck with items being shipped.

I did make a claim. If they can't ship it right why do they ship it at all?? why don't they just say that they can't ship it ans save the hassle. I didn't ask for it to be shipped UPS It was just shipped to me. It was packaged properly the driver even said said that it was pathetic that it was damaged that bad.

UPS and Fedex generally suck. I had my hood shipped via Greyhound and it came here fine. Though when I got there, the box was standing on the wrong side.
