Default Ultimate camper & Vehicle Transporter in one package

It's the ultimate motorhome, complete with a bathroom, lounge, kitchen - and even its own garage

06th September 2006

AUTOEXPRESS AUTO NEWS | GERMANY - - Huge new motorhome has space for holiday runaround in undercarriage

German manufacturer Volkner has created a new storage system for Volvo and Mercedes tourers which allows buyers to park their cars under the campers and simply drive away. A five-metre-long loading sled, which is stored neatly between the front and rear wheels of the huge vehicle, slides out to fit a small runaround, such as a Mercedes SLK.
The new motorhome was unveiled to amazed road trip fans at the D?sseldorf Caravan Show. It's compatible with a variety of models, including the BMW Z4, MINI Con*vertible and Smart Roadster
Once the motor is parked, the sled simply retracts and is locked into the undercarriage. So there's no need to tow the car on holiday - it's kept dry and secure. The new motorhome was unveiled to amazed road trip fans at the D?sseldorf Caravan Show. It's compatible with a variety of models, including the BMW Z4, MINI Con*vertible and Smart Roadster.

This home-and-garage on wheels isn't on sale yet, but potential buyers can expect to pay in the region of ?150,000 when it arrives.

That's awesome. My family always goes camping and to tow a vehicle behind a motor home can be a hassle at times. Unfortunatly though my parents usually have larger vehicles so this wouldn't work for them. however this would be perfect for a weekend racer...

I wonder how they secure the vehicle in the storage compartment.

Just can't imagine some retired 70 year old cranking on a set of ratchet straps.

I've seen one like that before that held a Mini under the rear bedroom area on the RV. The "hollow" bed gave them the clearance to drive the car in the back and lift up the platform about a foot off the ground.
