Default Obama's impact on auto industry?

Well results are in, so what do you think?

What impact will an Obama presidency have on the auto industry?

Personally, I'm not sure. I know Obama wants to impose fuel efficiency standards on auto makers, but I question whether mandates are necessary because the market will dictate increased fuel efficiency.

Didn't we already have that. ^^

I think its about time they get back to making more efficient cars. Bring on the Turbos. I have a real problem with me being able to get compairable MPG to my moms new Honda. I have close to 300 HP. WTF?? You know they can do it. Bush's dumb @$$ got rid of all of Clinton's work towards this. It's a good thing that we will be putting less money into transportation, aka GAS.

Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Hope in one hand and shit in the other, man!

With the country in the hands of the liberals, they're going to do anything and everything in their power to mandate NOT ONLY fuel efficiency, but the reduction of any and all pollutants! That means a reduction in CO2, HC, CO (smaller displacement is going to be key on all of those...primarily CO2), and NOx (forget about turbocharging! Yep, elevates NOx considerably)!

<hijack>

Interesting how most of the people on this forum "get it." The other forums I frequent.... Not so much.

</hijack>

Yeah, wait for V8's and turbos to become like caviar -- something only the rich can afford to pay the luxury tax on. Buy 'em while we can.
