The only engine for the Dart that is Fiat sourced so far is the 1.4 L turbo. The other 2 engines are Chrysler engines, with the 2.4L TigerShark featuring Fiat's MultiAir II system. I'd think they'd use a turbo version of the 2.4L TigerShark MultiAir II engine.

You know what? I totally forgot about that engine - I owe you guys an apology. I guess that would in fact be the most logical engine. But I'm still skeptical

source? I am not aware of any confirmation from chrysler about the powertrain, all speculations at this point.

Ah, spotted your problem right off, one we see all the time around these parts, fixed it right up ferya While it's not impossible to build an N/A 2.4 liter +300hp motor, making one that will actually work in a production car isn't a thing I see happening anytime soon, certainly not in the econobox class.

I think we can all safely say that the dealership is the last place that would know anything about the car, even once it's sitting in their showroom.

![]() Sorry, TO, couldn't resist. TOs right though, the odds against finding a dealership level person who has any faintest idea of future product plans is very much like finding a Honda guy who doesnt cling to hp/liter as measure of performance.

That's the problem with Dodge dealerships.
I remember when I was new shopping for a pre-owned car. I went to the Porsche dealership to look at a boxster...threw me the keys right away. Afterwards the salesman begged me to drive a 911, told me I would be a customer for life after driving one. Later I went to drive a new Caliber SRT. Wouldn't let me get near the driver's seat, even after a credit check (I was paying in cold hard cash and they knew it). The salesman never too me seriously. It's just a totally different mentality. |

It's funny sitting back and reading ALL the speculation across the net about what this DSRT is going to bring. I think I have read it all.
