The new Civic Si is the new challenger. I saw one on the highway the other day, as soon as he spotted me he sped off.

Latest leak is it will also come with the 3.6 L Phoenix V6 engine. That with a manual 5 or 6 speed and I may have to go test drive one.

Would you rather it last for a couple of years like the gto and die or have a v6offered that sells the majority of the cars so it can continue to be in production?

Smart man. The pony car that LIVED for 40+ years is the one that knew how to market itself to other groups of people. BTW the mighty Charger also has a v6 optional don't get so upset about the Challenger having one. Just don't buy one. Just talk every woman you meet into buying one instead of the Mustang. It'll only help drive down the price. That is unless you WANT to pay 7k more for your Dodge ponycar. Meanwhile the Camaro and Mustang end up being just as fast for less cash.

No, the muskrat has a solid rear axle (maybe you prefer that too). What you think that 300 HP has to be a cast iron boat anchor in the front to keep it from understeering? Oh, I forget. This car is only sposed to be for the 1/4 mile and stoplight to stoplight!

Welcome to the 21st century. Musclecars and Pony cars were as good as it got 30, 40 years ago, but times have changed some.

A few things here.

The Stang is getting an IRS in 09 I believe. Secondly the big honking v8 is what is desired by many guys buying muscle cars. And considering how fat this car is going to be in the first place having a giant V8 over the front rails likely isn't going to throw the balance off. Besides some of us like going stop light to stop light.
