so i have had a 2002 dodge neon for about a year now, i've done a few things to it i.e new rims new intake, i'm leaving shortly to naval boot camp and leaving the car to my brother. i was wondering what are some practical mods that can be done to it to show a big gain in horse power and torque, that i can pass on to my brother. i know the obvious ones such as exhaust and headers. also, what is a good website to buy performance parts from?

Hahn's makes some turbokits for the 00-05 Neons. Might want to check those out. I'm not too familar with the Neons. Personally, I'd sell the Neon and put a downpayment on a SRT-4. You can scoop one up for under $10,000 these days. But if you want to stick with your Neon, I do know for sure Hahn's have turbo kits.

You could do a srt swap way cheaper than getting a srt4 and so much more fun to have a sleeper turbo ride than a srt4 and to build your own than actually buy a srt4. Just look around ebay or on car trader for a donor srt4. I have found some that are like 3 to 4 grand. Hahns are pretty pricey unless you can find one like I have for 1,000 shipped and that was brand new.

srt engine swap who cares about the bodyswap having a sleeper is pretty fun and srt engine swap beats out hahn turbo kits and cheaper in the longrun seeing if you get a donor srt4 you can get alot more out of it other than the engine swap stuff.

You've mentioned several times in the past few days that its a lot of fun to own, drive, and build a swapped sleeper. Have you done any of these, or are you guessing? Be honest.

I have seen a few done and driven in a few sxts and 1st gens that are sleepers. Been wanting to build my own swapped sleeper but with a 163,000 miles on my sxt dont think it would be worth the time and money.
nitrous
100 shot Dp will be fine. Its only 25 shot per cyl.
If you are keeping it non turbo,
check Dodge Neon & SRT-4 Parts
Get a black dog header, and under drive pulley and some cams, safc, and little bigger injectors. I dont remember if dodge made performance ecu's for the neon during those years. Check it out.
I have a friend who has a 14.0 sec SOHC 1995 neon acr. ALL MOTOR.
Also there is a 9 sec turbo 2.0 in fl somewhere.
Check neons.org.

I agree, it is a waste of money to run on a stock motor. But some people like their rides and just want it to perform better. My brother thinks that spending money on a 50 trim is a waste and I should just get a 03 SVT Cobra but I love my Neon.
