AWD powertrain loss = lower numbers on a wheel dyno compared to FWD/RWD
hence, AWD crank HP = greater than comparable FWD/RWD
reference, Evo IX MR dyno = HP 257 / TQ 252.
but Evo IX MR ≠ slow
result is you = fail

the ix pulled the same g's.So you must have missed the article from last month in one of the car rags where the ix completely handed the x it's ass on a platter around a race track, same with the video on you tube at tskuba. The ix weighs alot less, its a better handling car. The highest g's I have seen on the x is .97, not .99, but that really isn't the be all end all when it comes to handling. The x is not anywhere near "better handling by alot" I don't even know what would give you that impression.
The Evo is entirely capable of instigating a frenzy of forward acceleration that could last for hours, but that would mean forgoing half the fun. Sprinting at a quick clip through the curves and lopping those apexes right off the sweepers–generating lateral g-forces is just as galvanizing. Capable of pulling 0.98 g’s on the skidpad, the Evo is easily as proficient–and passionate–tearing through the twisties as it is overtaking on the freeway.

Wasn't the MR rated at 280 crank hp. If so, that is only about a 10 percent drivetrain loss. And that also means the IX was more powerful than the X, so what exactly was your point. Snoopaloop=right, you=what the fuck was your point?

There's also a huge difference in feel between the IX and X. The X may have better numbers and, depending on driver and track, better lap times, but it feels disconnected from what I've heard, at least in comparison to the IX. You turn the wheel and the electronics make sure you go that direction. Almost anyone can get in an X and run lap times that are damn good, but the IX and other cars require more more driving ability to get the best out of the car.
